2026/2027 Season Update
2026/2027 Season Update
We are still in mid July but the Fall skating season will be here in no time. Our Board is busy making final updates to our season and Registration is expected to open in a few short weeks. We are excited to be once again offerering Adult and Teen Learn learn to skate on Saturday mornings at the ACC arena in October.
StarSkate and Intro to Star Skate will begin lessons September 14th and 17th.
CanSkate/ PreCanSkate skaters will have a few more weeks off before lessons begin in October.

If your skater is newer to the ice and 3-4 years old please register for the PreCanSkate class. This class is 30 minutes in length and has Program Assistants on the ice to help our littlest skaters learn skills

Registering for CanSkate?
If your Skater is 5 years old or older they will register for the CanSkate program regardless of past skating lessons and abilities. Skaters are placed into groups and work on their skills as the season progresses.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT
The Board of Directors of Ayr Skating Club invites all members to attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM).

The AGM is an opportunity to:
• Review the past skating season
• Receive financial and committee reports
• Elect board members
• Discuss club plans and upcoming events

We are moving our registrations to Uplifter
The Ayr Skating Club is thrilled to begin our 2023/2024 season with an enhanced registration experience using Uplifter. Uplifter is a service used by many Skate Canada sanctioned skating clubs to enhance the registration process and enable you and the ASC to more easily manage your registrations.
CanSkate Excellence Recognition
Skate Canada is recognized as having the best grassroots program in the country. CanSkate, Canada’s flagship learn-to-skate program, emphasizes teaching quality fundamental movements and basic skills.
The Skate Ontario CanSkate Excellence Recognition Program is designed to reward Ontario Clubs/Skating Schools that are implementing best practices in the delivery of their CanSkate programs.
On May 9, the Ayr Skating Club was advised that it achieved the CanSkate Excellence standard. Thank you to all of our skaters, coaches, and board members who helped make this happen!
